Many of our partner health systems log in to Alluvium through their organization's Single Sign-On (SSO). This article explains how SSO login works and how to resolve the most common access questions.
Does my organization use SSO?
If your organization uses SSO, you do not sign in with a separate Alluvium password. You log in through your organization's internal portal using your normal work credentials, and you are redirected into Alluvium automatically.
If you are not sure whether your organization uses SSO, check with your internal IT team or system administrator.
How to log in with SSO
- Open your organization's internal Alluvium login link (usually on your company intranet or portal).
- Sign in with your normal work credentials.
- You will be redirected into Alluvium automatically.
Your Alluvium account is created automatically the first time you log in through SSO. There is no separate registration step.
Common questions
I'm being asked for an Alluvium password, but my organization uses SSO
Use your organization's SSO link instead of the direct login page. With SSO you never set or enter a separate Alluvium password. If you cannot find your organization's SSO link, contact your internal IT team or administrator.
My access or permissions changed
With SSO, your access is refreshed every time you log in, based on the information your organization sends us at sign-in. If your organizations or permissions changed, that update comes from your organization's system. Your internal administrator controls which organizations and access level you receive, so please contact them to adjust it.
I need access for a new user
New users are set up automatically the first time they log in through SSO. If a new user cannot get in, your organization's administrator needs to grant them access in your organization's system first. Once that is done, the user can log in and their Alluvium account is created automatically.
I need Admin access instead of standard access
Your access level (Admin versus standard Scheduler access) is set by the group your organization assigns you in their SSO configuration. To change your access level, contact your internal administrator. For a breakdown of what each role can do, see Understanding Scheduler, Editor, and Admin User Roles.
Who controls SSO access
For organizations on SSO, who can log in and what access they have is managed by your organization's identity system and administrators, not by Alluvium directly. For most access changes, your internal administrator is the fastest path to a fix.
When to contact Alluvium Support
Reach out to Alluvium Support if:
- You and your administrator have confirmed your access on your organization's side, but you still cannot log in, or
- You are seeing an error on the Alluvium sign-in screen itself.
Please include your organization name and a screenshot of any error message so we can help as quickly as possible.
